Hipsterland tells the story of Yon or Jonathan, a loutish guy from the town of Badalona, on the outskirts of Barcelona. His girlfriend leaves him because of his lack of any cultural interest or knowledge. Yon runs into some old school friends who are really into the new “hipster” scene in Barcelona. They take him in and try to change him so that he can get his girlfriend back.
