Sofia leads an unsatisfying life with her partner and works as a waitress in a bar, but she wants to be an actress. She asks her friend Marcos when they are going to shoot their film, but Marcos is too busy following Axel around Barcelona. Axel finds a gun in the street and comes up with a plan to use it. However, he meets Marcos. Marcos leads him to Sofia's bar and introduces Sofia as “his movies' future star”. Axel falls in love with her.
It Feels Important is a film about the need of escaping from reality. It presents, through its characters, several forms of salvation, liberation and escape from the world: cinema, love, eroticism and, in the end, death.
