Clarisse wakes up in a white room that has no doors or windows; its only feature is a loudspeaker that seems to be floating in the immensity of the chamber. She remembers her name, but not how she got there. In this room, through the loudspeaker, somebody will subject her to a series of questions with the aim to force her to admit to a crime that, as far as she is concerned, she hasn't committed.
