Set in Madrid in 1967 and 1968, Season 5 revolves around a number of families, each with its own unmistakeable peculiarities: the Novoa, the Pacheco and the Núñez Losada clans. The endearing Gómez family will continue with us as well, running their bar at the “Plaza de los Frutos” to which many of the locals gravitate.
Another family, (which will eventually become ''royal''), is also present in the background, providing a context for the smaller stories to unfold amid the backdrop of the bigger history, a reminder that the Spain of 1967 is not a remote past, but rather a direct precedent of today's Spain.
